Yes, the movie presented the whole issue in a reductive way. Sure, time travel and big battles are fun. The hard truth behind all of that? Just killing Thanos solves nothing. One thing I probably could’ve driven home for extra clarity: Most people respond to propositions like one-child policies and degrowth, etc, the same way they respond to the notion of erasing half of humanity. They see all real solutions as monstrous, and don’t want to talk about them.
