Yeah, this is true. How we communicate in a given situation is based on every communicative interaction we’ve had up to that point, and we’ve all had difference experiences that make us communicate in different ways and give different meanings to words, tones, and body language. So that means you always face a chance of miscommunication, and therefore need to stop/pause and make sure you’re actually understanding each other. There’s definitely room for a follow-up piece.
