What I read is that Steve Jobs actually got diagnosed early on, but he refused treatment and instead spent several months trying alternative medicine, which greatly reduced his odds. Even he regretted his decisions toward the end. I'm not trying to make light of his death. I think it's sad, and in a strange way his misplaced faith in quack medicine fits with my larger critique of the toxic system these people perpetuate. I didn't want Steve Jobs to die. I wanted him to get actual treatment and reconcile with the daughter he spent most of his life denying.
