Well, they need us *now,* but they’re actively working on robots and AI to replace as many of us as possible. I’ve read plenty of articles by startup bros talking about how they want to replace teachers with algorithms, and Amazon is investing loads in self-driving delivery vehicles. I know it gets into tin foil hat territory, but it makes sense. If I were evil, I would also want to reduce the human population down to a manageable size.
