That's exactly the reasoning. I've gotten some blowback for this essay, but these people have never seen how frighteningly well they can sneak racist and sexist ideas into their papers under the guise of academic discourse, do everything you tell them, and make it almost impossibly to justify giving them a bad grade. And these are the students who also know how to work the system. All they have to do is suggest you're "a little disorganized sometimes," and it's probably true, because we're made to teach anywhere from 60 to 100+ students a semester.
