Doing nothing is a hot commodity.

This morning, I did nothing.
I didn’t do yoga. I didn’t take a cold shower. I didn’t go over my to-do list or write in my gratitude journal. I just stayed in bed. I pretended I was lying in the back of a deep cave, away from the world.

They’re acting like we’ve been on vacation.
They’re still doing it.
Our bosses have spent the last year trying to whip us back to the office. Our governors and mayors are making fun of us for wanting to work from home. They’re telling us, “You can’t spend all day in your pajamas.” They’re trying to make us nostalgic over the stuff we hated.

How supportive of them.
Our bosses have skimmed some self-help books, and they finally realize we’re more productive when we’re healthy and rested. They don’t want to actually invest in our health, so they’re just tasking us with our own wellness. They’re expecting us to be healthy and well, but they’re not giving us the tools to do it. Let’s be honest, mindfulness is just being lazy. Meditation is just tuning out. You don’t need an app. You don’t…
