Not really. Kylie engaged in philanthropy theater and then it blew up in her face a little. Now she seems more interested in victim signaling and distancing herself from her *former* makeup artist than in doing anything to help. Her statement is full of platitudes, and the broader point of this article is that people like Kylie are much more interested in status (i.e., world's youngest billionaire) than using their vast wealth to do anything meaningful. It would've been more honest if she'd just said, "Look, he only did my makeup a few times and I barely know him. I don't owe the guy more than $5,000." That, I could almost respect.
