Maybe I’m over-simplifying Vygotsky, but he was wrong — thought is much more than internalized speech. Language isn’t a “translation” of thought. It’s a mode. So is image, touch, and sound. The brain has to transpose back and forth. So I agree. The best thinkers do it in every mode.
