Kavanaugh can’t exactly stand trial for this, but I think Ford has the right to tell her story without receiving death threats — and the senate will have to make their own decisions. Hanging a powerless slave isn’t exactly the same thing as passing someone over for the highest court. Kavanaugh will be fine, in the unlikely event he loses the confirmation.
