I’ve read some stories where the real spouse did know about the AI wife, and was uncomfortable with it but stayed — at least as far as I know. I think most of us would eventually leave if our partner started seeking emotional support and validation from a chatbot, because it really is a form of infidelity. If nothing else, it means that they’ve decided to stop investing in the relationship. If they weren’t willing to do therapy or address the problem, I agree. It’s a deal breaker.
