I’ll admit, I’ve been one of those people drawn to the killers because we want to understand what goes on inside those minds. We assume the victims were just ordinary, dull people.

But that Netflix special on Ted Bundy a few months ago made me realize what a privileged white dude he was, and how that seemed to play in his favor over and over again. True crime certainly could afford to give at least a little more attention to victims and survivors.
