I understand your point, and I did say this is why Republicans have declared war on education. They don’t want teachers or professors talking about race, civil rights, science, climate change, empathy, or any of it. They don’t want anyone challenging the status quo, including the current version of capitalism. They’re smart enough to know how to hash out this plan over decades, taking over school boards, etc, but they’re not smart enough to see how awful their plan is, and how it’s just going to make everyone (including them) more miserable. I think you’re right that race is the primary drive behind all of this, but why not drown the world in fossil fuels and roast the planet while they’re at it? Jesus will save them…
