I think this is what a lot of people don’t get, that you explain so well. The media moves on to the next disaster, the people who live there are stuck dealing with all the gritty aftermath, no power, their routines thrown upside down, etc. Climate change is about the bigger picture, realizing that recovering from a disaster is on track to become a norm for nearly everyone. Now, not only do we have to deal with drawing down emissions, but also with the emergencies in front of us.
