Higher education needs to radically reinvent itself. I enjoy teaching, but the 18-week semester with set class times feels tired and broken now. It doesn’t fit most people’s needs. I do as much short lecture/discussion, project learning, and self-paced education as I can without getting in trouble. More and more, I feel like leaving academia to explore other models of education.
