Agreed. I’ve tried to strike a balance. I pay attention and take action when I can (donations, letters, voting). At a certain point, I realized I needed to stop simply reacting to the news and start acting on it. I also realized that if I’m really damn good at my job (teacher), then that counts for a lot.
